The 501(c)3 Glimpse Foundation announces its redesigned and enhanced blogging services, intended to help study abroad students and international volunteers share their overseas experiences with friends, family and a wider audience back home. Bloggers are now provided with their own homepages, featuring their posts, photo albums and user profiles, which they can use to network with fellow students and volunteers.

Glimpse will be launching concerted efforts over the next months to forge an active, vibrant blogging community of students and volunteers from across the United States living around the world. Although there are many blogging services to choose from, three features in particular make Glimpse blogs unique:
- Community. Glimpse offers the only blogging services that are open to all young adults living, working and studying overseas and that are specifically geared toward serving the study abroad/international volunteer community.
- Exposure and context. All blog posts are incorporated into the appropriate regions and sections of Glimpse's website, GlimpseAbroad.org, for the benefit of tens of thousands young international travelers across the country. Glimpse can ensure that its bloggers get access to a wide national audience beyond their campus and circle of friends/family.
- Common mission. Everyone who is part of Glimpse's blogging community joins in the spirit of The Glimpse Foundation's mission to foster cross-cultural understanding and exchange.
The Glimpse Foundation was established by Brown University students in November 2001 and began full-time production in May 2002, with generous seed funds from the National Geographic Society. In pursuit of its mission, Glimpse also publishes a print magazine, Glimpse Quarterly, and a website, GlimpseAbroad.org, which both offer platforms for young adults to share their experiences living and working abroad.
GlimpseAbroad.org serves as a gathering space for study abroad students and other young travelers. It offers a database of nearly 500 articles from over 100 countries, as well as "Ask the Expert" peer-to-peer communication features and other networking capabilities.
